6-year Peace of Mind Guarantee

The Peace of Mind Guarantee runs for six years from the date of surgery and covers the refractive correction — that is, if a refractive error remains or develops after your first treatment. In that case we offer additional vision-correction treatment at no extra cost, provided your eyes are suitable for further treatment, which depends among other things on your corneal thickness.

What it includes

• Personal patient coordinator.

• Free follow-up visits for six years after the operation.

• Medication during the initial healing period (two weeks).

• Additional vision-correction treatment at no extra cost within six years if a refractive error remains or develops after your first treatment. After laser treatment this is normally done with laser (a touch-up); after lens treatment the method is decided at the examination and is laser in most cases. A lens exchange is not covered by the Peace of Mind Guarantee.

• Access to our patient app / on-call contact from the day of surgery — clear information during healing and a fast route to us if something feels wrong.

• Patient injury insurance with IF Insurance in Sweden (statutory, and applies independently of the Peace of Mind Guarantee).

What the Peace of Mind Guarantee does not cover

The Peace of Mind Guarantee is not general eye insurance. It does not cover the investigation or treatment of:

• Dry eye

• Vitreous floaters and vitreolysis

• Macular changes and other retinal conditions

• Cataract and glaucoma

• Presbyopia that develops naturally with age, and the reading glasses that follow from it

• Other eye diseases and complaints unrelated to the refractive correction

This applies whether the condition arises before or after your vision-correction treatment. The follow-up visit itself is free within six years, but the investigation and treatment of other eye conditions is carried out as a separate treatment with its own pricing. We are of course glad to help you with these conditions.

If you have been treated with RLE Excellence or another presbyopia-correcting lens, the Peace of Mind Guarantee covers the refractive result of that treatment — what is not covered is the natural ageing change in the eye.

The Peace of Mind Guarantee always runs from the date of surgery. We extended it from five to six years at the beginning of 2025.

The Peace of Mind Guarantee is included in all our laser eye surgery and lens surgery treatments.
